(If you've already read them you can click the button below)

If you have a Fathom One and want to use it with your Apple device, you've come to the right place! This short guide will walk you through getting started and using your Fathom One with iOS!

First and foremost, the Fathom iOS app is currently an open beta. What this means is that in order to use it you'll have to download Apple's beta testing application "Testflight" on the device you want to use with your Fathom One. You can get there by searching for Testflight in the app store or by clicking the button above.

Once you've navigated to the Testflight page in the Appstore, download it like you would any other app. If you've gotten there by clicking the link above it is possible that you will already see the Fathom App displayed in the main menu of the Testflight app ready to be downloaded. If not proceed to the next step. If it asks you to redeem a code, simply click the link at the top of this page again.

Notes and FAQ

Which version of iOS is supported?

The iOS version of the Fathom app supports iOS 12. If you are unable to download the app be sure your device is up to date.

How do I download videos on my Apple device?

There is currently a bug that will not allow you to download videos with your iPhone or iPad. In the meantime you can download videos using a laptop or desktop computer. Simply connect your drone and turn it on like normal. Then connect your laptop or desktop to the wifi network generated by the Fathom One. Lastly, open a web browser on your computer and navigate to 192.168.2.10/manager to view all the videos currently recorded on your drone. From here you can convert them to MP4 format and download them directly to your computer! You can also do this with an android device by going to the same link.

Please note that if you try to download videos directly with an iPhone or iPad, it will crash the drone's software and you'll have to restart it in order to use it again.

What does it mean for users that the app is a beta?

We developed the Fathom app and chose to release it as a beta because it allows us to make quick changes to the app in case users start to encounter a bug. There are no differences to the functionality of the app because it is a beta.

Are the iOS and Android versions of the app the same?

Long story short: Mostly.

There are a few things that have not been included in the iOS app right away, but nothing that should negatively affect your ability to pilot the Fathom One. The biggest difference will be that the iOS app and Apple devices will not currently support bluetooth controllers.

Testflight asked me to redeem a code?

No problem! Just click any of the links on this page to download the app again and this problem should go away.
